Environmental Data Management System, Version 1.2a
The Environmental Data Management System (EDMS), was originally designed for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Alaska District, and has been adopted by multiple agencies and organizations. The EDMS provides a comprehensive reporting format for geo-spatial, geo-technical, and field data collected during field sampling activities. The EDMS encompassess all aspects of field sampling and links the sampling data with the analytical laboratory results information. The EDMS data management software is available free of charge to any agency or organization from our Web site. The diagram below illustrates the EDMS group relationships.
The Electronic Deliverable Format (EDF) provides
analytical results information, as well as laboratory quality control data that
are a key component of data validation. Laboratories can produce their EDF
using the Loading Tool available free of charge from our Web site. The Loading
Tool includes an input/query module that loads data files directly from a
Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and a data reporting module that
allows laboratories to generate hard copy reports directly from the electronic
data.
